The Diamond High Council (HRD), was established in Antwerp in 1973 as the European counterpart of GIA. They usually average about two color and/or clarity grades above the GIA’s grading. HRD graded diamonds are usually priced much higher than equivalent diamonds graded by the GIA.
WHAT IS AN HRD DIAMOND?
The HRD Diamond Certification, which is offered for all types of diamonds, certifies the gemstone as a real, natural diamond. It also contains a detailed description of the quality of the diamond according to the 4 C's (Cut, Clarity, Colour, and Carat ). The certificates also show a graphical representation of the diamond.
